Corso di laurea magistrale in Fisica

The theoretical study of semileptonic decays of flavored heavy mesons remains an active and important research area in high-energy physics, as these decays encode direct information on the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa quark mixing matrix and are a sensitive probe to new physics beyond the Standard Model.
The goal of this thesis project consists in studying these decays both analytically, using the operator-product expansion, and numerically, through the analysis of lattice QCD data.
