The tricritical three-state Potts model in two dimensions is an interesting statistical-mechanics model, which can be described using the powerful analytical tools of conformal field theory. It has been noted that a perturbation of the model through a thermal operator leads to an enhancement of its symmetry.
The goal of this thesis project, to be carried out under joint supervision with Giuseppe Mussardo from SISSA and ICTP, Trieste, consists in analyzing the model at and off the critical point, and in computing the associated form factors.
