The detection of Gravitational Waves (GW) by the LIGO-Virgo collaboration has opened a new window on the cosmos. One of the ways to exploit GWs is to study the global evolution of the universe, thanks to the fact that GWs behave as "standard sirens" and can thus be used to measure distances on cosmological scales. Cross-correlation with galaxy catalogs can further help to calibrate the GW as cosmic rulers. The master thesis work will consist in studying the capability of current and future GW detectors (like the Einstein telescope) to constrain the parameters of the cosmological model, and scrutinize the nature of dark matter and dark energy.
